Delphi ball joints OEM?

I'm building my parts list for my left output shaft changeout, and I've decided to just go ahead and change the wheel carrier ball joint since I had to air hammer it out last time

I had planned on buying a GKN Loebro axle and Lemfoeder ball joint to stick w/ OE, but then I saw that Pelican lists Delphi as an OE supplier and their ball joint is almost half the price.

Has anyone used Delphi ball joints, got a review? I also like that the Delphi comes w/ hex bolts like OE vs. the Lemfoeders that come w/ T50 bolts.

Bonus question: Should I go ahead and change the right wheel carrier ball joint while I'm doing it, or take a "if it ain't broke..." stance?

We have the original MINI ones for a great price

But Delphi isn't the original manufacture.

I have a feeling that Delphi is OE for some parts on a Mini, and they happen to also manufacture aftermarket ball joints.

That is a good price on OE outers, Way. Thanks for the link!

Duh, found it!!

Delphi is an OE provider! My OE shocks and struts were Delphi.
So, if Delphi is trustworthy for those, I feel much better trusting them for lower ball joints!!

Looking at your posting history, is this for an R50 '03? The OEM Supplier ball joint is Lemforder.

If you want info on what OEM, OES, Genuine, etc means please go here: http://www.pelicanparts.com/support/OEM_FAQ.htm. Now, that being said - Delphi, Lemforder, Febi and Genuine are good brands. I tend to stick with OEM Supplier and Genuine brands myself.

That's what I've done so far. I ordered the OE supplier left output shaft and a couple Delphi ball joints from you (you guys?). Got the axle and left ball joint swapped last week. After fighting that ball joint and the transmission fill plug, I decided to leave the right ball joint alone unless the shop said it was needed when I went in for an alignment (it wasn't).

Thanks for responding!
