Fitting JCW Pro Suspension Springs with VDC

Hi guys, new car has DDC/VDC and I'm kind of liking the ability to switch between modes. Does anyone know if I can fit only the springs (not the adjustable strut/shock) from my JCW coilovers into the mounts on the regular DDC struts? Will there be a large difference in ride height?

I'd like to be stiffer, while maintaining the variable damping mode functionality, but I don't want to be much lower in ride height.

Never mind, I just remembered to look in Ryephile's cool over unblocking thread and the coilover springs are substantially shorter in height and will end up dropping the ride height too much, I think.
