So my front strut mounts are torn on my 09 r56 and I figured when they go in to fix the mounts that maybe I should try lifting the mini by 2 inches with the lift kit from cooper crap. The shop said it wouldn't cost much more for them to install the lift kit but they have only done the install for the countryman. Anyone have the r56 lift kit? Is it worth it? Or should I just get the mounts fixed and leave the mini as is? I live in colorado and most of the roads here make for a horrid ride and I was hoping with a little bigger tires and the lift it will make snow driving and comfort better.

I would advise against it as it will reduce the handling performance which is what the MINI is all about.

 

Unless you go with taller struts and shocks with longer springs, your comfort won't improve any.

 

Sounds like I'll just get the struts replaced and leave it as is! Thanks for the Input
