Rear sway bar question

My R56 has the base MCS suspension. I'm thinking seriously of getting a Bilstein B12 Pro-Kit (Bilsteins and Eibach springs). I already have a JCW strut bar and recently got a set of Michelin Pilot Super Sports. Should I also go with a new rear sway bar (presumably 19mm)?

I hope to make the car more responsive in street driving, as well as to get better control of body roll. I'd also like to minimize rear end squat under acceleration. I'm interested in a track day or two as well. But, because this is my daily driver, I don't want to get too extreme with the modifications. Would the rear sway bar be a good addition to my shocks and springs or a step too far? Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Absolutely a heavy RSB. 22MM adjustable is even better.

The rear swaybar won't affect the squat under acceleration but it will help make the car a little more responsive.

Go with the Hsport Comp Rear Sway bar, that is by far the best and most popular sway bar for the MINI. We usually install them and set them on the middle setting which ends up being ideal for 99% of drivers. The 19mm bar also works, but from what your saying you'll end up wanting more later so better to just start with the comp bar now.

Way, you're missing a bet. You should also be suggesting, as I will right here, the addition of KONI FSD struts at the same time as the RSB. They make a huge difference in ride and cornering performance compared to the OEM strut. AND, they're on sale.
