Control Arm bushing video needed

I'm replacing front control arm bushings. Does anyone have a really good step by step or video instructions? Also, should I just buy OEM bushings?
Thanks
Mario

If you go to the NAM homepage and look up NAM Alliance issues (there are five total) Detroit Tuned did a DIY article with lots of pictures showing how to do it. That's what I used.

Do not go back to stock bushings! They are soft rubbery ****!

Go to the Powerflex. You will not regret it!

Here you go.
Not a full step by step (camera wasn't recording for the first half of the job - argh) but hope it helps.
This is for an R53 but the procedure should be very similar for an R56.

That's is extremely helpful video!! I have a torch, and a saw, if you had the choice, do you think the torch would be faster?

Thank you
Mario

Oh boy good luck. I would be puckering so bad using a torch down there. It's probably on your mind but dang be careful Most shops drop the subframe or use a special tool to push out and press in the new bushing.

Hi - I would not be confident using such a hot torch under there. I would probably set the body undercoating on fire. If your skilled with a torch, go for it.

The cutting method takes maybe 3-4 minutes worth of cutting per side. I suspect the time investment is similar for each.

Choose your method with the following pros/cons:

Electricity is cheaper than gas
No chance of setting anything on fire with a saw
You need to carefully monitor your cutting progress and ensure the saw blade is level from front to rear, to avoid cutting through the bushing carrier/bracket.
