Suspension Alta springs on an MC?
Does anyone have the alta springs installed on their MC? The website states that it lowers both cars the following:
MINI Cooper Drop 1.5" Front and 1.0" Rear
MINI COOPER "S" Drop .95" Front and .75" Rear
A 1.5 inch drop up front and only a 1 inch drop in the back seems like it would really make the rake agressive. The front of the car already sits low, so i was wondering what it would look like with these installed.
And secondly, are people happy with their alta springs so far?
Thanks guys

RallyMINI,
I hope you don't think that I am hi-jacking your thread. I have the very same questions plus a few more.
Adding to RallyMINIs good questions, when adding the springs to an MC, to have proper alignment and function do any other items need to be changed such as adjustable camber links and such? If so, what needs to be added in the way of additional parts and are there any particular considerations to keep in mind for the alignment man?
Thanks RallyMINI. I hope this gets us both some good information from this vast group of experienced guys.

Haha no worries lil'red,
I can actually answer your question for you
. You dont NEED to get adjustable control arms if you are just using the springs offered for the cooper. They dont produce enough camber to worry about it. It might slightly increase tire wear, but for the most part it is better for handling. Some people decide that they want to re-adjust back to the stock camber after lowering their coopers, and they must buy adjustable rear control arms for the rear which is where the most camber change is seen(camber plates can be purchased for front adjustments, but those arent necessary). The following companies offer rear control arms:
Promini (they call them rear trailing arms
, and they are just H-sports sold under the promini logo i think )
H-Sport
Moss Mini (2 different options)
Alta
(there may be more that i am missing
ops: )
The cheapest that i have found are found at hopupracing.com under BMW/MINI for $211
Hope that helps, anyone know the answer to my above questions?
