Finally got the H-sport springs and rear control arms installed on my 04 MCS. Still hv to pull in to hv my alignment done. Overall the ride is good!!!! 1" drop is good enough for me.

Yet, I realized that there are noises from the back of my MSC whenever I go over bumps. I am kinda worry about this issue... is this normal or something went wrong???? PLS HELP ME... I won't be able to enjoy my lowered MCS until I found out the answer or slove the problem!!!!

Thanks in advance

Ed

A couple of things to check.

When you installed the springs, did you remove the droplinks from the swaybar (Not necessary, but some folks do)?

Also, do you have a stock rear swaybar, and if not, which aftermarket bar?

Are you certain the upper mount bolts on the new control arms are tight?

Check the control arms themselves. They need to be wrenched down on the turnbuckle. They also need to be lubed before install.

There is a slight possibility that the uppershock mounts aren't tight - the two 13mm heads.

Finally, if none of that is the root cause, check the 16mm nut that holds the spring hat on. If it is loose, it will cause a noise. While you are there, be sure the chamfered washer is in place under the spring hat.

Hope that helps! Give me a call if you have any other questions.

EDK13, what kind of noises? I have a kind of clicking sound when I go over bumps, started only since I had my rear lower adustable control arms installed. I can't always hear the noise, either, so I don't know if it's related.

Which arms tonto?

If they have heim joints, that is actually common, as well as normal. If it is the H-Sports, check the mounting bolts, lube at the grease fittings, and checjk the turnbuckle to be sure it is tight.

Ed,

I'm not sure who you bought them from, but feel free to have the shop give me a call. I'd be happy to walk through the common issues.

Thanks once again, Randy...I pulled in the shop again today and they "claimed" that they check & tighten everything and the NOISE IS STILL THERE!!!!! They said they lube the joint too. Noise still coming fromt the rear driver's side.

I had some bad experience with that shop be4, they will neva be able to fix the problem... all they did is pull in the car and chill around it for a lil while!!

I wish I could check it myself. Do you think it's a good idea to ask the alignment guy check it for me?? I have the life time alignment thing w/ Firestone!

Thanks once again.

Sure Ed. Take it to the alignment shop and ask them to take a look at all of the things I mentioned above. By the way, do you have an aftermarket swaybar, and if so, which one?
