front subframe: lower not remove

I've been doing a considerable amount of reading on the LCA bushing replacement and see many people talking about lowering the subframe as opposed to dropping it all the way. The only reason I'd like to lower instead of remove is I have the madness pre-pressed LCA poly bushings and I'd love to do the job in the shortest amount of time, but i know sometimes shortcuts turn into issues and make for a longer than should be job. So, question, when "lowering" the rear of the front subframe do you still have to remove the front bumper and crush tube bolts or can you just remove the hub ball joints, tie rod ends, power steering reservoir and the 6-8 rear subframe bolts? And, does "lowering" the subframe really allow access to the swaybar/lca bracket bolts in a way that makes the job VERY doable?

I hope my question makes sense and thanks in advance to everyone that has taken the time to reply! Thanks!

Danny

you have to remove the bumper and bumper carrier since the crush tubes attaches to the carrier.
Without removing the crush tube you wouldn't be able to lower the front of the subframe which could cause severe stress on the front subframe if you decide to lower just the rear. I would have to suggest removing the subframe completely ... it's really not that long and it will give you a chance to clean the power steering pump and the underside of the engine
