MINI offers three different suspensions.
1. Standard springs and shock/struts=softest riding
2. Sport springs and shock/struts= still same ride height with a little stiffer ride and less body roll, better handling.
3. JCW springs and shock/struts= 10mm drop in ride height with the stiffest ride of the three. Better handling, less body roll in cornering. The JCW springs are red in color and are matched to the options that your car has for weight.
It all boils down to what you want from your suspension and the type of use you will be using it for. There are lots of things that will effect the final outcome I.E. tires, air pressure, rim size and weight, aftermarket shocks/struts, sway bars, bracing, camber plates, alignment, poly bushing, ect. Because their are so many variables it is hard to compare one suspension to another so keep that in mind when reading all the general info.

Also understand that those three suspensions are entirely options on any car you get. The Cooper, Cooper S, and JCW all come with the standard suspension. You can then upgrade to either the sport or the JCW dealer installed suspension.
