lowering question

when lowering on springs (not more than 1.2inches) will adjustable rear camber arms still be necessary on an 06 MCS?

probably not. an alignment cant hurt, and while the 1st gens tend to go toe out a bit when lowered, 1.2 isnt much

Depends on how much negative rear camber is acceptable to you. With a 1.2" drop and stock control arm adjustment you will probably be around neg 2.5 degrees.

thanks, -2.5 is way too much for a DD. If this was for a dedicated track car, that would be fine.

1.2 is a lot for these cars on springs.....they have very little bump travel. I guess we're talking about different things though.

-2.5 in the rear is too much for the track.

Sorry, I've had a rough day. Yes get rear control arms and dial in -1.5 or a little less rear camber for better handling and tire wear. You must get an alignment either way.

Even with the 5/8" drop of the JCW suspension on my 06 MCS, I can only reduce the amount of rear negative camber to about negative 1.5-1.6 with the stock adjustment. So if you drop any lower than about 5/8" you will need aftermarket adj lower control arms to get the negative camber into the -1.5 range that is prefered by most people.
