Suspension Creaking sway bar
I have a Madness sway bar from the group buy of last summer. About a week ago I started to get creaks from the rear suspension that got worse every day. I guessed it was the bushings from the sway bar so yesterday I removed the brackets over the bushings and added some regular grease - problem solved!
Has anyone else had this problem? Is this something that will need doing every few months?
I didn't keep the remainder of the grease that came with the sway bar - what type of grease should be used?
Thanks, Keith

I had the issue, and complained alot about it. I was sent out some collars that fixed the issue. I then took it appart, re greased it, and put the collars on. Not the best way, but it works. It happens from the lateral movement of the bar evacuates the grease from the bushing, and causing that problem. Mine happened just a couple weeks after install. Give them a call, and they should send them out to you.

I had a creeking noise and I thought it was the sway bar. I installed an RDR swaybar and the problem still exists (I wanted to upgrade anyway). The Swaybar is not the problem on my car. It is the subframe I think. I have tried to look at the areas were the noise is coming from but when I get the car on a lift it does not do it.

My Mini Mania bar squeaked terribly when I first got it, but they sent me new bushings and a reinstall fixed the problem. Had the bar on for six or seven months now and it's just now beginning to squeak again. Grease fittings would be nice, but I don't know if they're available for this bar. Annoying is a good word for it. JR
The grease you get with the madness bar doesn't like the cold. Get some "Energy Suspension" bushing lube and you'll be all set. Did mine couple of weeks ago and the squeak is all gone. The Energy stuff is teflon based and works to -80c and doesn't absorb water.
There is a thread on Randy's site about this very thing.
Cheers,
Paul
