I am going to add adjustable trailing arms after fitting some H-sport springs and wanted to know if there are any advantages/disadvantages to having the rubber bushings with grease fittings like on the H-Sports or not like the Alta with heim joints?

Good Day,

I have the h-sport springs and needed to install adjustable lower control arms to reduce camber (looked like a bug ) I put the h-sport in for ease of adjustment and to stay away from heim joints, the lift in my jeep has hiem joints and they break and make noise.....

As both units are adjustable without dismounting one end from the car it boils down to a $40 with the H-sports and which type end you have a preference for. Heims are nice, but I don't think they'd hold up as well as the bushing type, in the all-weather day to day driving most people do. Put my vote for the H-sports...... And you can correct me if I'm wrong, but don't the H-sports carry nylon bushing to eliminate any give in the joint?

getting at the upper locknuts is a *****; the H-Sport, without them, is much easier to adjust.

Heim Joint have a tendency to produce slack over Time, I'd go with the h-sport.

Thanks

i have h sports on order because of the dirt induced wear of heim joints and the easier adjustment using the central turnbuckle.

if you insist on heims, i suggest using boots. here's one source for boots and grease nippled heim joint arms

there are other sorces for just the boots, but i don't have the links.

Check Rossier Dyno for their products. Super craftsmanship as I have been to his shop and jknow someone who did a lot of mods (to 200 HP) on a Mini S. Probably at Helix also.
