whic STD?

Which Strut Tower defender.
I see basically 3 choices. The Craven type thin ring, M7 larger plate, and the Mini Madness under plate. ( not looking high dollar camber adjustment, yet)

Preferences? Experience? Basically, with any of these, had deformation ever been noticed? (Otherwise stock but wonderful Maryland roads)

None -- Gen 2 cars do not have the mushrooming problem that Gen 1 cars have -- wait and do camber -- the fixed camber plates are not that much more than the SDTs.

Thanks. Although your roads may be better in Texas. If it is not a big problem, then I should wait to see which shock I go with and do a real camber plate. Depends on how stiff I make the rear I guess to see how much more front grip is needed to balance it out.
