Is this a No No? I currently have Eibach lowering springs on my Mini S. The rear fender to tire spacing is great, but I still want less spacing in the front. Eibachs only lowered it about 1.2 in, but I know that H&R springs lower your car 1.5 inches. Can I have just the Front HRs and leave the rears as is, or is this going to mess up my suspension tuning over all?

What a franken-suspension. Already. You'll only make it worse by mismatching springs.

Don't do it. There's no free lunch here. Coilovers are the only option that is likely to get you both the look you want, and retain (and improve) good handling. If that's too rich, try the H&R cup kit, which includes matched springs/shocks, or a proper sport shock (such as Koni yellows) to go with your lowering springs. Stock shocks + lowering springs = rapid death for your stock shocks... and they suck pretty badly in the first place.

Yeah, different sets of springs doesn't exactly sound like the best idea. Coilovers are by far the best option, but they can be very expensive.

 

For me, the Touring kit (which I have on order). I don't need/want further lowering. Ground clearance could become an issue, and suspension travel, which is already very short, would be VERY short when going all the way to the Sport setup. YMMV!

 

With the money youd have to spend on 2 sets of springs, and then shocks to top it off...it almost sounds like you could purchase a decent set of coils for those prices
