Squeeky sway bar

So I installed a 19mm Eibach sway bar and I get this squeaking noise coming from the bushings on both sides (unless it's something else). I torqued everything to factory settings. They came with new bushings and I lubed up those good enough with the stuff that came with it. However my torque wrench doesn't have that low of a setting (19nm) so I just tightened it pretty good the first time around. Then when rotating my tires I went back there and loosened them a good amount. Still the squeek is there on both sides maybe a bit less but still there for sure.

Pushing down on the rear bumper even makes the noise. It's driving me nuts and I'm sure people can hear it as I drive by. More lube? Untighten the clamps over the bushings a bit more?

Other than that the sway bar is perfect. Very predictable at the limit with almost no noticeable roll at all.

Go to your auto parts store and buy new sway bar brackets and bushings. They come in a kit with grease fittings. Grease them about every six months and your good to go. I too have the same sway bar as you---

When you did the final tightening on the bushing mounts, was the weight of the car on the suspension? You may be getting a little bit of binding.

Thanks guys. Buying new brackets and bushings is something that I was guessing I'd need to do. After breaking the new bushings in, its been difficult to reproduce the sound so easily. I'll hold off and see if it goes completely away. If anything the stock brackets would seem to be the culprit as I doubt they are properly matched to the new bushing the kit came with.

And the car was off the ground when doing the installation, subframe and struts still disconnected.

DAVESTER, did you try the softest setting on the rear sway? Is it worth even trying that setting out? The stiffest setting seem to suit my driving style the best; I have difficulty getting the rear to step in real world driving. That's something I don't want to be able to do too easily.

Yes, I have it set to the softest setting and it handles just fine. I really notice the change while cornering onto the highway entrance ramps; more fun. I've often wondered how it would be in the stiffer setting. I may try that soon. Get the greaseable brackets and bushings for a 19mm bar at O'reilly's less than $20. I grease mine about every six months. Easy to do when you rotate your tires. You have access to the fittings when the tires are off---
