Color bars?

Does anyone know what the color bars on the oem springs indicate?

The paint marks?

Its just used to quickly identify different parts as the car goes down the assembly line. They probably identify different spring rates for differently equipped cars.

Right. Does a code exist? Example: red, red, white = sport rear springs.

I am sure that is what the marks are for but your best bet is to ask the parts or service department. Then post it back here so we all know.

Well I do know the white marks with the red indicate the sport suspension.
