Suspension sway bar end links... opinions please
sway bar end links... opinions please
I am installing a 19mm rear sway bar tomorrow on my 05 MCS. i was just wondering if any one has done end links with theirs. if so did you notice a difference between the stock end links and the aftermarket endlinks?
Powergrids (Way, TSW) here and yes there is a difference, not huge but it frees the suspension back up and the car handles in hard corning better. But if you haven't lowered your car any you don't really need them.
it is my understanding that when you upgrade your sway bar, the extra load on the standard links cause them to bow (making your $$spent on the sway bar less effective), so upgrading the links will allow the heavier duty sway bar to do it's job
Bigger bars = the need for stronger endlinks.
A mildly larger bar will probalby not over-tax the stock endlinks to a point of failure, but the Powergrid endlinks - sold thru TSW - are very very nice. Well worth the price.
If you jump up to a 20mm or a 22mm or an adjustable bar like the Webb bar, you should instal stronger endlinks. The Webb bar apparently comes with these endlinks...although mine did not...
