Everyone at the last RMW tune said that no one has seen a mini lower than mine. I didn't mean to but H&R springs and konis on a pre 03/02 make minis really low.

Its a bad angle to represent a lowered car. My sig pic looks lower...

Here is Shoolers car it is perty.

Thanks Chase for the props. Well...the mini doesnt look like this at the moment. On the trip to LA (both to and from) I snapped bpth my sideskirts off and shroomed a strut tower cause Im so low. The Mini looks BEAT DOWN. Also, when I got back I Jiffy Popped my transmission. I currently have all the parts needed to do a 6-speed swap into my Cooper. I will be doing this next weekend. As far as the turbo project...it is on hold cause Im trying to catch up from not having a job for 7 months. But since the BMW and Mini are paid off...I will be talking to Jan and doing his crate motor with turbo setup. Im sourceing interior wiring harnesses for an S swap since I just acquired an ECU..

I don't know, I hae an 02/02 build date with H&R's and Koni's and I feel like it needs to be a little lower. I run 17's and still have a little gap.

Really....on springs?

I had H&R's on Konis on my early 02......and I can say for a fact that it's no where near low and that was with 15's. With 18's it'd be even taller.

Hahah I'm the same way. I'm already running custom shortened rears, but I'm trading them out for even shorter struts. Up front I'm having upper mounts custom machined which should give me about 2" lower....

You'll want some shorter rear struts if you're gonna get shorter rear springs. It should be pretty easy to source from bilstein since our rears aren't anything special in terms of mounting. They're simple stud mounts up top and eye mounts on the bottom. I wouldn't be surprised if bilstein already had them available for another car in a shorter length than the ones they offer for our cars.

Guys: I am thinking of getting a set of HRE's but not sure how to go about it. Any idea how I can figure out which models work on the JCW 09? My guess is that because of the big brakes I might be limited to only a few options. (or perhaps only one)
Thanks ahead of time for your help.
*I guess I am only looking for 18" and not too wide since I don't want to hurt performance and very much dislike wheels sticking outside of the body.

Your best bet is to hit up setuning.com and see what they think about the brake clearance capabilities of the wheels. They fit HRE's all the time. My guess is that most HRE wheels (especially in 18) will clear your brakes. They're common on applications such as BMW's and Porsches which have much bigger brakes than us. And besides.....HRE's are custom so you can tell them what offset you need.

Ok its parked on a hill, I wish it sat like this all the time.

This is how mini sits on the flat. It has dropped a bit more since this photo was in August.
