Get with Dirtboy if you want to change spring rates. He changed the springs on his PSS9s

 

I do not mean a notch when you turn the ****. I mean there is an actual notch is the shock body to show what damper setting you are on in the front. In the back there is no line or indicator to tell you which damper setting you are on...

hmmm interesting. my fronts have no notch as you describe. it has a notch as in it clicks for every setting. same with my rears

 

Hey Glen...he's right. My fronts have a notched mark in the front but its a guestimation for the rear. I turn them all the way and then back them off the same amount. There is no notchiness or mark to reference to. I forgot to post that.

 

And Im gonna have springs made eventually to get my shock travel back (like Steve suggested) and to go 2 inches lower (not gonna use the whole 2" but enough to where I can get some adjustability back). OBTW, I cant even fit low pro jacks under it as it sits now. And the fronts arent as low as I want. Old pics tho...

 

But Im a little confused Clunk...If your asking about help or advice in here...why do you want to trade them for M7's in the FS section? Cause obviously by looking at my pics they dont drop low enough or suit your needs like the M7's can.

I am not wondering if they can drop the car really low because I know they can, my car is slammed right now. What I want is a set of coils that will be able to handle being dropped more than an inch and a half and not have issues with bottoming out the suspension. Bilstein themselves said that the PSS9's were not meant to go below 1.5 inch drop. I posted the for trade thread to see if there was anyone interested in making a swap...

I can't believe I never saw this thread. So J you're running the fronts without lower locking rings and the rears with no helper springs? That's f'n INTENSE man.

If so, you just sold me on running the fronts with no lower locking ring. No HS in the rear is just too nutty for me.

 

Dude...my crap is all messed up. Once I swap my 5 speed to a 6 speed here shortly...Im going to re-do my car....

 

I've been hearing about that 6speed swap for quite some time now, probably longer than I've had my coilovers sitting around for.

Steve ACS330 blew his KW's out. I used to love KW's. I was gonna put them on the Mini until I found the deal on my PSS9's. Im gonna go K-Sport on the BMW. They dump prolly the lowest. Just like on Kals car. But at the moment we are tied I think...lol. Here are a few pics of K-Sports dumped on a fellow E46ers ride...Cant beat em for the money but Kal had to have them redone for some reason...This is what my shizzle is gonna look like...rollin on 20's son!!!! They look like 10's but I keep em clean....LMAO

 

Those rims are sick. Back when I actually had money I was looking into maybe picking up a set of those for the MINI.

Yea! Why are you so hard up to get rid of them. Run them for awhile and see if you like them..THEN sell em if you dont like them....You will always make your money back...
