quick question regarding strut bar.

i looked at my strut bar today and found some unusual wear along the inner circular thing of the car (dont know the terms) Under normal circumstances, the strut bar does not rub at all but i guess under hard turning, it flexes enough to cause some paint rubbage...
the picture underneath is not my car but its close enough. the red is where on the actual car i can see some wear...
is this normal? how can i prevent this? the screws are held down pretty tightly...

I'd sure like to see this one answered. Did you torque the nuts to spec?
