Kw competition series

Dear all,

my R56 cooper S will be ready for delivery in about a week's time, coilovers would be my first mod. Anybody have experiences on Kw's competition series coilovers (they are suppose to be the ones on the Mini Challenge cars)? TIA

Are you planning on a track only car?

are you looking at the 2way adj. or the 3way with external reservoirs?

either way you'll probably have to contact KW to see if they are selling the comp series to the public.

I currently have KW Competition 2's on my 2002 MCS as a daily driver/canyon carver/track runner. PM OasisT (Craig W) for full info on these units as I bought them used from him last year.

I'd highly recommend the Cross coilovers, I have yet to see anything outperform them at the track.

The KW Competition 2's replaced Bilstein PSS9's and they are certainly better for both canyons and the track. I can't speak to the Cross coilovers- I have not driven a car with them.

Any experts have ideas about settings on these coilovers? TIA

Can you give us some details on how these are on the street ? I am curious so see how harsh these are on bad roads, rail road tracks, sudden bumps and pots etc. Thanks a bunch. I am thinking of getting the V1's or V2's so a feedback would be great.

Nice lookin' coilovers! I look forward to seeing the pics of them on the car. Please offer more feedback when you take some corners and how the handling balance has shifted, if at all, from your previous setup.

Thanks!
Ryan

didn't have much time driving it after install, so can't give much feedback for them but I don't find the ride is too harsh for HK roads... will try to do more driving and maybe tracks later on to find out more (BTW, I'm now using KW's recommend setting for rebound and bump)

Lowered r56's just look great. So KW has recommended settings for street use then ? I wonder how the V1's will do on the street with not adjustment whats so ever. I hope to find out soon and not be dissapointed.
