Ain't that the truth........ welcome to the class with modded EVO's and STI's. There is a limit to what mods will give you in return when your up against 300+hp and AWD....

No pulley and only changing one set of arms might get you back down into STX, depending on your other mods.

Lowers are pretty easy...

uppers are a bit of a pain. Not much other than two big freaken wrenches! Also, I found that it's easier to put the adjustables in if the lock not is a bit loose, allowing you to rotate the head to be parallel to the bolt axis.

Even the inboard ends of the lower control arms can be a bit tricky, since it can be hard to fit a wrench into the tight spaces to loosen the attaching bolts. I made sure I had a wide variety of swivel-socket attachments handy, and once I broke the bolts loose with a 3/8" ratchet, I switched to a tiny 1/4" ratchet to loosen them the rest of the way, since it was easier to work with the smaller ratchet.

you are right, the pulley puts you in SM anyway

que sera...

i spent my first year in the JCW Cooper is A Street Prepared due to the works kit and survived (barely)

honestly autox is fun and the class does not matter 'less you're trying at the national level - just check your progress against yourself and other folks with similiar performance

good luck with the back end and i wish you balanced handling!

Yeah, it's tight up in the inboard side of the arms...but can be done with just a swival adaptor and short socket, and open/closed end wrench. At first I was like "OMG"! But it went pretty easy in retrospect.

If you go for the uppers then just get 1 or 2 hose clamps, a piece of a bike inner tube, and a "L" bracket from the hardware store for the headlight aiming switch thingy. Can post pic if needed...

That's a little out of date, I wouldn't trust that site. I know Update/Backdate isn't legal for ST*. I didn't look further past that except to look for a "last updated" date.
