Lowering springs - uneven?

Is this normal - just installed new springs/shock/struts (Dinan pkg) this weekend. Took the car out for a quick spin - felt pretty amazing. Pulled back into the garage and appears one rear side is sitting slightly lower than the other. Pull out the tape measure, find ~ 3/8" difference from left to right on the back - does the suspension just need some additional time to settle in or is something amiss?

Go for a drive with four people in the car and don't go too wild.

Drive around for a bit and let the suspension settle for a few weeks.

Should be OK. You can't adjust ride height anyway with just lowering springs.

On each corner of the car the weights are different, none are perfectly balanced/the same.

Suspension systems (coilovers) that allow for ride height adjustment will allow you to make small changes in the ride height for each corner to balance out the weight of the car as much as you can.

You want right front plus left rear to equal left front and right rear- called cross balancing. Front wheels carry most of the MINI weight and driver adds 150+ lbs to one side in the front so each corner height will be slightly different- it's close.

I noticed this when I first installed my springs. Just don't think about it for a while and let them settle for about a month or so. Then, bust out the measuring tape and put the stance to the test!
