performance tie rod assembly

Does anyone know of any performance tie rods for our cars? Somewhere - I can't find the picture anymore - someone had red beefy looking tie rods on their car. I am sure that stronger tie rods are not necessary, but I feel that if they were stronger that your alignment would hold itself longer.
