Spax Coilovers

Couple pictures of my Spax Coilovers. I had to buy 5mm spacers to lower the car more then 3/4 of a inch due to rubbing in the front. I have about a 1/4 inch in the front that I can go lower and 3/4 inch lower in the rear. Going to tweak over the next week and then it's off for allignment.

The ride is smooth.

i, too, have to run a 5mm spacer up front to get the correct drop. i wouldn't discribe my ride as great on the street, but i have a pretty aggressive track alignment/set-up that i choose to live w/ on the street. a few clicks on the dampers makes things much more comfortable.....enjoy

That looks great. Have you posted in the lowered thread? I think that they would like it.

Damn I never heard of anyone needing the spacers with Spax but nice to know that I am not the only one.

I am running 10 in the back 12 up front it is pretty close to a stock feel. I commute 100 miles aday so I like to have it more on the soft side and then on weekends I tighten it up a bit.

Glad you got your spacers. I guess they are hard to find. Today I'm having the Cross "street" coils swapped and getting rid of the "comps" Hopefully the car will ride smoother on the street since I drive a lot and don't really track.

What is your current spring rate and what will it be after the new springs? I know you told me before but post it so we can compare when it is complete.

Spax Spring Rate

Front spring rate is 342lbs
Rear spring rate is 285lbs.
