Does anyone know what the DOT # for the brake fluid that the Mini OEM uses. I like to change out the fluid myself every year regardless of warrenty.

 

Just went and checked the cap. it calls for DOT 4. So you can use DOT 4 or DOT 5.1. It is very important that you do NOT use DOT 5. DOT 5 is silicone based, and is mostly used in the preservation of antique autos that don't see much driving time.
