I'm running 16" Konig Rush wheels with 205/50/16 tires. I got the wheels on closeout and now I cannot track down any info, it's like they never made them So i don't know what the offset is.

So I can get away with just ordering a pair of spacers and longer bolts to match? There isn't any weird handling problems with having spacers on the front and not the rear?

I did a quick search and I see that your wheels are anywhere from a 40 - 45mm offset. If you have the 45 mm, then you'll need the spacer, if you have 40, then you won't.

BUT, that will also depend on how low you go on the fronts. I'm all the way at the top of the perch on the front and I needed 5mm spacers just for that. If I were to go lower, I'd need a bigger spacer. At least 12mm to clear the perch. My wheels are 48mm and I'm running a 215/45.

I'm sure if you're all out racing the car, auto-x, etc... then you would notice the difference with a 5mm spacer up front, but for daily driving, you won't notice a thing and I don't think there are any adverse effects. But then again, I'm no expert. I've run spacers on some my cars in the past and I've never had any problems. YMMV...

Thanks for tracking that down for me! Maybe I will just go with spacers on the fronts for now. Do you think there's a chance 5mm won't be enough to clear? I'm not planning on slamming it all the way, I just want to drop an inch or so.

Well there is always a chance it won't be enough. BUT, if it doesn't you can always just raise it all the way back up.

I'm running OZ Ultraleggeras (37 mm offset, 5.51" backspacing) on 215/45/17s on my 06 r53, what size spacer would I need? I only want to drop it 1" for daily driving, and would lower on a rare track day.

Also, anyone have some idea on how these might perform on the trac. Would they be equivalent to KW v1?

I believe you're golden with your wheels (i.e. no spacers). The ST's are the same thing as a KWv1 without the lifetime warranty.

Got mine today!! Shipped really fast, and since it came FedEx as opposed to UPS, I didn't get dinged for brokerage. Can't install yet as I don't have the spacers, trying to figure out if I should just wait until spring. In any case, very happy with the service and quick arrival. Really looking forward to getting them on!

Quick question: I didn't get billed for duty either. Are these made in the USA?

I'll be ordering some of these soon and i'll have the factory 8-spoke wheels which are 16x6.5 48offset i believe. Am I probably going to need spacers?

The 5 mm spacers will be needed if you decide to go low. If you go my ride height, you won't need them.

Ok so after a lot of research and reading I'm interested in purchasing the ST coilovers for my 05 Mini S convertible R52. Whats the best package for me and do I need the camber plates? Just let me know about any specials you've got and I'm ready to put them on the Mr. Beanmobile ASAP

02-06 Mini R50 (incl. Conv./Cooper/Cooper S) would be ST Part # 90242

Just a website suggestion, you may want to update that listing to show it's for all 1st generation coopers, or something thereabouts. Only stating that it's for the R50 could be confusing, since the r52 was the convertible, and the r53 was the S, the r50 was the base cooper coupe.

Whoooops. We go by what the app guides say for the manufacturers. We will fix it

NICE!

Any way you can convince me to purchase the ST over the Megans?

I am still undecided between the 2. Really like the camber plates on the Megans as well as the dampening.....they are both in the same price range.....but the Megans seem to offer more bang for the buck.

ST is made by KW Suspensions. Which is a very well known German brand that has gone thru TUV Certification process. TUV is a German organization that validates the safety of products. ST also comes with a 5 year warranty. Megan has only a 1 year warranty. The STs provide pre-set dampening that is ideal for customers who only plan on doing daily driving and only hit the track every so often. You can use Eibachs plates with the ST kit. Which is what some of my customers do.
