Why H&R Cup Kits?
H&R Cup Kits consist of specially made springs and shocks designed and engineered together, providing more suspension damping and all-around better control. Cup kits make a cohesive suspension package that outperforms and is more comfortable than separate, off-the-shelf performance suspension components.

H&R Touring Cup Kit
Lowers 1.4 inches on average
Superb ride quality
Available for all Mini Cooper models 2002-2009 (R50 after 3/02, R52, R53, R55, R56)
H&R Touring Cup Kits are our most popular spring and shock system. This kit is perfectly suited for those who desire improved ride comfort and performance, with moderate lowering. Enhance the look of your vehicle with a reduced fender well gap. Lower the center of gravity and reduce body roll for better handling. The progressive spring rate design provides superb ride quality and comfort. A lower wind resistance signature will make the vehicle more streamlined and improve gas mileage. Achieve all-around, better control with H&R shocks suspension damping.

H&R Sport Cup Kit
Lowers 2.0 inches on average
Extreme lowering with a nice ride
Available for Mini Cooper models 2007-2009 (R55, R56)
H&R Sport Cup Kits have all the features of the Touring Cup Kits, plus additional lowering-perfect for the enthusiast looking for a little more. With a lower ride height and lower center of gravity, the handling of your vehicle will be improved over stock. The progressive spring rate design retains superior ride comfort. With more than 2.0 inches of lowering, they are the ideal solution for those who desire a suspension application engineered for the street with a super-low performance stance.

An added note....

I had just ordered this set for R56 chassis, "touring" version. It turns out this kit is outfitted with koni single adjustables (that H&R puts their sticker on). So, this is a single adjustable damper setup (which I was happy to discover.)

What factors are to be considered with regards to the diameter of the sway bars and need for the endlinks?

Does the Touring Cup kit for R53 also have the koni single adjustables? Can these shocks be adjusted after installation? (i.e. to switch from street driving to track day?). If anyone has this kit installed on an R53 I would like to hear your evaluation as I am considering it for my 2003 Cooper S with 179,000 miles.

Sorry for the huge delay, the R53 cup kit does have the same type of shocks as the R56 version. They can be adjusted after install, but for the rear, the adjustment is from the top, which is going to require taking out the plastic trim in the boot.
