Sorry I don't have the magic answer for you, I don't have my own MINI, otherwise I'd snoop around and find it's location for you. If you're referring to the in-cab filter for the AC/heating system, they are usually located within the dash (or, more correctly, behind it). I have changed out some on Japanese imports that allowed you to remove a panel on the floorboard to get to the in-cab filter.

 

The cabin air filter is located under the glove box against the firewall.
It is an on your back position to replace it.
You will need a fairly small slot screwdriver to pop the four tabs (two on the firewall side, two on the cabin side.
Careful when you do this as dust will fall when you remove the cover (faces the bottom).
