I just got my car back from the autobody shop after repairing my drivers door that was backed into. The shop did a great job except the fact that my Airbag light is on. and stays on.

I tried resetting the computer using the "key on - reset ****" trick but that didnt fix it. The shop also tried to reset the computer.

So I have to bring it into the dealer but what Im wondering is why the door triggered the light at all?

 

there is an impact sensor inside the door and if they had the ignition on and the senor unplugged then the light will go on and it will stay on until the dealer clears the fault
