Suction vs Draining Oil

After 40 years of draining oil, I now have to jack my car up to do it. Maybe not. Anyone have any success with this type of suctioning oil changer:

You may not want to use it for every oil change. But maybe every other change? Of course the filter would always be changed. Any opinions on using this with the MINI?
Thanks
