Headlights stopped working!!!

My MINI wasn't driven for over two and a half months and after coming back to it, I found out that the battery was dead. I had it changed, and everything works okay except the headlights (low beams, in particular) stopped working. The high beams, lights just below the headlights, and foglights work just fine, but the low beams won't turn on at all.

Anyone have any suggestions? I want to avoid going to the dealership and having to pay more than I need to. Thanks in advance!

Fuses?

Did you check your fuses? Maybe one blew when you charged the battery. Check your manual for locations.

Are the fuses numbered and located in the same spot with different colors? I let my uncle check it out, and he checked the fuse in the engine, and one near the brake pedal, and all of them seemed to work.

Try moving your E-brake up and down a few times. On mine atleast. if you move the E-brake up to first notch the low beams will not work but everything else will as you described. I had this switch get stuck on me one day and by moving it up and smacking it down a few time it started to work again.

Xenons or regular beams? Check fuses - also wiggle the fuses to check connection, check connection at the bulb as well. Good luck!
