Removal of Alternator help needed

does anyone have a step by step on this....boy that thing is packed in there

I think you are going to be shocked at what has to come off the car to get to the alternator... like the front nose to get access. Not a super complicated job, just time consuming.

From what I know, you have to remove the front bumper trim and insert 2 extension bolts/rods to allow the front end (bumper/radiator etc) to slide forward several inches. That gives you access to alternator and other parts of engine.

I have a Bentley's and BMW software at home... I can send more detailed instructions later today if no one else has posted.

hey thanks for the reply....i went out to the garage and my kid beat me to it....bumper covers off, radiator slide over...nice to have a 18 yr old motor headin the family..)

yep that's it......he's into old hotrods.....he just got done building a 68 nova that i painted for him...i like to paint and do electrical wiring, lights, amps ect but really don't have the paitence for wrench work much anymore.
