Earlier this week I started to notice a small thunk from under the front of the car when starting from 1st gear. It only does it occasionally and only when starting out in first. If I ease into it the sound is small, however, when I really get on it the sound is pretty noticable. I have just recently put on a new brake kit, changed the brake fluid, and put new transmission fluid in. Any idea what I may hearing and feeling so I can start to prepare myself for maybe the inevitable.

There's a couple threads on this issue, and if I'm not mistaken, this is normal. If you're concerned you can have it looked at, but its my impression (please folks, feel free to chime in) that the getrag transmission is noisy with first gear in/out.
