Removing intake manifold?

How do you take out the left most bolt holding the intake manifold to the block? I followed instructions posted by Randy Webb but couldn't get the 1st (of 5) nuts off the intake manifold. The other 4 were tricky, but this one I can't fit a closed end wrench over, socket w/ angle adaptor doesn't fit and an open ended wrench keeps slipping!! This is on a 05 MCS, anyone ever have this trouble?
