cvstan, do you have any mods? Intake, throttle body, headers or exhaust?

I have had the same thing. Seems to be the Bypass Valve for most people with the P1688. I havet ried replacing mine, still nothing. Seems to happen at low rev shift from first to second. I am trying to make sure that I shift above 3500 to see if that makes a difference. I wonder if the bypass valve could be sticking closed?

MAF issues could also be part of the problem with limp mode. If any oil or other contamination from your lubed up aftermarket oil filters gets on the MAF, it can short out, this will send the car into limp mode.
