Anyone doing compression checks?

Just curious if anyone has been logging compression on their MCS, namely from day 1 (there abouts), and over time...

It would be neat to know if it's been decreasing, and if so, how much. Having always had old cars, fixing them up, kit cars, etc... checking compression was just part of the routine. I never did so with my MINI, but wish I would have...

Would something like Restore be any good for us, as our MINI's age?

Thanks much.

I was thinking about this as well..

But I was wondering if the compression is going up from carbon build up? We have notoriously rich tunes....

A bit off topic, has anyone found that the injectors get dirty and need cleaning? And not just techron type stuff... I've seen places that will do it for about $60 for a set of four, with before and after flow numbers included. Anyone done this either?

In the 90's I had injectors cleaned for my '89 (maybe '86, can't remeber must be getting old) Z24 2.8MPI. The car was running like s__t and had about 120K on it we tried the stuff you run into the fuel rail but didn't fix it. I think it took like 2 weeks they sent the injectors back with a nice sheet that showed that one injector was way out of wack before cleaning and guess what after cleaning also . So I bought 1 injector and was back on the road.

I honestly don't remember how much of a difference there was on the other injectors.
