Auto Leveling headlight not working properly
Auto Leveling headlight not working properly
My driver side headlight doesn't seem to be leveling properly. When I start up both lights go through the motions; they point up and down and then settle somewhere in the middle. However, the driver side light seems to be pointing up just slightly more than the passenger side. Invariably, this is enough to make it seem as though I'm flashing other drivers. Is there a manual adjustment to make the light point down just a little bit more, or do you think it's the sensor on the rear control arm? I do have a suspension but nothing excessive. I'm open to any ideas. Thanks!
hmmm. I thought that they only 'level' if the car was sitting unevenly (like having a heavy load in the back) mine dont ever seem to level, they just flicker and then get brighter. I do know that the drivers side is supposed to be a tad bit lower than the passenger side so you dont cause glare for on coming drivers. There is a screw you can tighten to manually adjust them, either look in the manual or look around the headlight housing.
Well, it could be malfunctioning, but the driver's side is supposed to be different than the passenger. It is supposed to point down a little more than the pass. I wouldn't dare try to mess with my xenon headlights. Too risky.
