03 to 06 Supercharger interchange

Is there any fundamental difference between the supercharger on an 03 MCS and 06 MCS?

Not sure of the exact date, but there was a change over in production at some point after 03 to what was originally the JCW supercharger, sans reduced pulley. Difference I believe is the "abrasive" coating on the rotors which produces a better seal. This is partly responsible for the few more hp produced by the 05-05 mills.

I thought the coating was teflon, ie non-apprasive/non-pourous to create a better seal. But the coating on the rotors is the only difference between the 2 superchargers.

It is a bolt on. Only the internals have changed ( just the coating ).

Supercharger

I had a thought...If i could come up with a nice used s/c i could put 15% pulley on it and bolt in on my car, then swap the stock unit back on when i needed it serviced.
