Does anyone know the normal range of EGT for the mini s? What temp is peak efficiency for our cars? What temp is "Dangerous" High? Thanks -- Johan

Here are some examples.

Putting around town 400-500 C
Really hammering it 700-800 C
Cooking the cat 1,000+ C!

Don't know optimal. But I did notice that lean conditions give me 850 C (I'm fighting a few gremlins now). If you have the light throttle flat spot, the EGTs climb up to this range. Not great....

No sensor, unless you mount one!

This is the PLX thermocouple mounted in my OBX header.

I've noticed the same...I don't have wide band o2 yet, So if I start seeing 1000, time to back off throttle...I'm used to looking at the EGT's on my old truck (03 ford) There a little different...Thanks --Johan

It's a good idea to mount the sensor to really know what the engine is doing when you start playing w/ the a/f ratios
