Brake Pad Gap???

For the past like 4 months, i've been having this rubbing sound coming from my front and back passenger side wheels when i'm going less than 10 mph. I'm bringing it to the dealer tomorrow for them to look at it and a few other things.

My question is:
Is there supposed to be a noticeable gap between the brake pad and the disc?

Tonight, i raised that side of the car and both pads seemed to be rubbing the entire time i spun them. However they didn't sound like the sound i've been getting while driving. When driving, it sounds like they rub more in one spot then they do in another. The other thing is is that when i'm driving, if I take a left turn, the sound gets louder. The brakes dont pulse at all.

About a month ago, i did my brakes, thinking that the sound would go away, but that didn't happen.

Thanks for any help!

I beleive it's normal for the pads to touch the disc. When you get new pads, they rub against the disc constantly, allowing the pad to conform to the shape of the disc. This is why you often hear noise when you get new pads. I think there is about a 300 mile break in period for new pads.
