I agree on that point and this is one reason I haven't gotten the larger TB on my car.

Stupid newbie question - Nevermind

I read on and found that the answer varies... thnx

I have just purchased a used '05 MCS. I'm assuming that the 15% pully voids the warranty, yes?

TIA,

Hopper

Car just takes off...I know all you auto haters say what's the point. But I just love it...from 2.5k rpm on it just hits...before I did not feel it until 4.5k but now it's soo much earlier.

A definate recommend to all.

Voids your chance of getting warranty work if they can prove the pulley caused any damage.

Hey Drew! It's been a couple of weeks - how's the pulley treating you?

You know, we had a Garage Night the other evening at my local MINI dealer. Speaking to our SA he tells me that the full JCW kit for our MCSa has been released. The software was approved... or I guess that's all that was holding it up from release here in the states. And... if I wanted to place an order for the kit I could! Hmmm, tempting

Have your contacts mentioned anything recently?

Tempting, indeed. I think I will place a call to the dealer that I do business with to see if the JCW kit for the MCSa is truly released. Got my fingers crossed.

Right Drew we all would know if it hit the states. Our man Gabe of MotoringFile would tell us even before the dealers know

Let me quess you have several grand just burning a hole in your pocket that is slated for a JCW Kit.

Would you do the kit even after swapping to a 15% pulley? I might

Strange indeed - but I figured that I'd check here first! Thanks for checking.

There was this other guy that actually asked about the kit, I over heard the conversation and turned around. He really seemed set on having the kit installed. If I see him at any club events, I'll find out if he's having the work done.

We were both even given a price. But of course this was all a bit like shooting the breeze back in the shop, literally I'm totally speculating here, but they're really mod friendly, maybe they would do the full MCS kit on an MCSa? I dontno.

As for me getting the kit at this point - I've got SO issues - she's already said I can't spend $6K on this So any money buring a hole in my pocket is just going to injure me and not produce any $6K MINI upgrade

I had my dealer spec out a price any everything with a deal on the labor to install one when my engine was replaced. I didn't mention my tranny on purpose. They were going to do it until they remember my tranny and checked with MINI lol. They then stopped dead in their tracks.

Great news Based on an interview done by Gabe at motoringfile.com, it doesn't look encouraging for the JCW kit on a MCSa - seems there are unresolvable emissions problems. I am now seriously considering a 15% pulley for my MCSa. The question is whether to add a Miltek cat-back and JCW CAI.
