bad brakes

bad brakes

Brakes in yellow mini is really bad .. have to pump it a few times before the car stops .... otherwise, it would look like a pancake! haha ... any idea?

Shouldn't have to pump brakes. If you hold it down, ABS will activate and will pump for you.

Is the pedal low before pumping? Are you still under warranty? More info. would help us help you. Ok its a classic mini. You may need to adjust the rear brakes. Check under rear wheel cylinder boots for fluid. Check boot under brake pedal where master cylinder comes through. Do you work on your own cars? If not take it to a shop.

Beneath the bonnet is for the new Mini ( hense Octane Guys ABS remark & my initial confusion) Look under forums; there is a section called classic mini talk.
