dealer didn't check comp for errors during service?

Is there a standard for when the dealer is supposed to check the computer for error codes?

I dropped off my Mini for service in SA, with a list of items:
1) I took a hit from what looked like a Brake Rotor or hub assembly at 70mph. Took a chunk out of by aero kit as it bounced along the bottom of the car. So I wanted a mechanical inspection to make sure nothing else was damaged.
2) Rear windows stutter up/down on my mcsc
3) First Oil change
4) Windshield washer jets weren't working at all.

When I picked up the car, I asked if they had checked the computer. The SM replied, no, they dont' do that for just a 10,000 mile service. Only for "major" services.

Silly me, but it seems like you should check the computer whenever the car is serviced in case there is something lurking that the computer is finding but I haven't noticed yet.

Is there really a standard for this? Or am I offbase?

The ECU is "tempermental" enough to let you know if its bothered by any slight goings on. If you didn't have a CEL or SES light staring you in the face(or if you haven't had the priveledge to invoke a "limp home" mode and had to recycle your ignition 5 times along the side of the freeway), then chances are there woun't be any reason to go looking in closets, imfuo.
