P2097 code = ??

I have this code, never had it before but what actually can be the cause ? Car runs fine.

This is th eexplanation for th ecode but what exacly does it mean?

Post catalyst fuel trim bank 1 system too rich.

I have made no changes to the car in a while and now I get this code, funny thing is it wont clear out either?

You only have one cylinder bank. What scan tool did you use?

Its an actron. It show the code and the explanation on the screen.

Ah, I was going to say a scan tool compliant with MINI's should report P2097 as "Post Catalyst Fuel Trim System Too Rich Bank 1"

This means that your rear oxygen sensor (the one after the catalytic convertor) was seeing a fuel mixture that had too little oxygen in it. What mods do you have?

head, cam, injectors, some other porting, 15% pulley, 3% crank pulley, alta tmic, header ( w/stock cat ) I am sure tehre are a couple things I overlooked but those are the major ones.

Did you ever find the problem causing P2097? I just recently threw this code and will not erase.
