Intermitant Air conditioning Problems

2002 Mini Cooper, and the A/C works sometimes, and never when you really really need it. I tried the disconnect the battery thing and it works for a few hours. Any other ideas?

cud be alot of things if you didnt fix it yet.......im guessin you might be low on freon which wont let the system turn on cuz ull blow the compressor without the level of freon the system needs to run.

Easy way is to have a friend or your local shop put your car on the machine and do a system check to see how much freon you have in the car and you can go from there with the diagnostic.

Does it go on, then off after a little bit...or just not come on at all?
