engine service soon light

As mentioned in the bad battery thread from friday, my battery got ran down to nothing while I was out of town. Who knows if I left the radio on or what, but it was dead after a week. After charging the battery, the service engine soon light came on. Assuming that nothing is wrong with the car, but that the battery, how do you get the engine service soon light turned off? The car was perfect prior to the battery going dead. It is not due for service...

thanks

jc

try leaving the battery unhooked for 30 to 45 min and let the computer reset.

This might sound dumb, but make sure your gas cap is tight too... clicky, clicky... a loose gas cap will cause that light to come on as well...
