MCS and MC engines

I know that both MCS and MC are based of the same engine. But as I am looking at these pictures, I was shocked to see the header in the MC going to the front, not the back as in the MCS. I guess the engines are not that much alike, as I believed. Any comments?

Thats the intake manifold, not the header. If you look from underneath or behind the motor down low, you will see the header, and its the same as the MCS header. Main differences with motors is obviously SC, but internals and the head differences...same block.

so, when is someone gonna build the 2.5L stroker engine for our cars?

if nobody does it, i'm gonna buy a stock S motor from a wrecked car and make a non supercharged motor to drop into my car.

head work, bore the block, new rods (something has to be a close swap) tubular intake (no plastic crap) etc......i'll decide what i want to do later.

i have a machine shop with everything i need at my disposal that i cna use free of cost.....we shall see

Ok that makes more sense. As I was looking at the pictures from the back of the engine, I could not see the header, so that made me assume that I was looking at the header. I have never looked at the engine bay of a MINI. Thanks.

I wonder if that SRT-4 motor wouldn't fit in our cars. Its a neon...and our cars have the same block as the regular neons.... It should work, right?

i wanna get my hands on a wrecked motor so i can start testing out some stuff.... or at least get a stock head to port and polish it and put some monster valves in it.
