I've been suffering from bad rattling in low-temp driving. Dealer tried to fix but wasn't able to help. Definately a tolerencing problem.

Anybody else had this happen in cold weather?

I've had this exact problem. The rattling only happens at low temperatures, and it seems to be coming from the front portion of the sunroof. I think you may be right though about it being a tolerancing problem. That might be the only logical reason as to why it rattles during low-temps only. I'm going to bring it into the dealer this week to have it looked over, I'd love to think it could be fixed.

Very common problem, and there are lots of posts on this (do a search of previous threads). Most have found that the dealer can't do much and that the rattle comes and goes. A common -- unofficial -- fix is to glue some felt/foam/fuzzy side of velcro pieces to the trailing edge of the wind deflectors that are exposed when the sunroof is open. About .25" of extra padding there seems to quiet it right up.

Open the sunroof and take a look at the wind deflectors. When the sunroof is closed, they retract by being pushed flat but are still in contact with the roof. You will probably see some scuff marks on the deflectors where they contact the roof.

The simple fix is to use a small (like 1" x 3&quot piece of adhesive backed Velcro (use the side that looks like carpet, I used black to match the color) on the deflectors in the contact area. The idea is that the Velcro acts as a cushion and prevents the plastic-to-plastic contact.

Now this may seem a little too obvious, but I figured I would throw it out there...

Any time I have gotten excessive water on the roof in below freezing temps, the water freezes around the edges of the sunroof which then begins to rattle unreasonably. Fortunately, after I tuck Molly into her heated garage bay, all ice melts away and rattles are gone.
