34 MPG MCS!
Have the rest of you been getting highway milage like this? The last long trip I took was before the break-in period was up, and I was averaging around 29mpg, according to the computer, this time, same trip (Pa to Va Beach) earned me 34 mpg down and 33mpg back up. Of course it was all highway driving, but I was cruising between 3300 and 4000 rpm.
That's impressive. I mostly see 25-26 in mixed driving.
Actually I saw 99 mpg on my MCS at 80 mph. Errr, this was just after resetting the on-board computer and while headed DOWN 10,500 ft Vail Pass with the clutch in.

Key words: "According to the computer"
I've heard that the computer is -- generous.
Check it with a calculator.

I've checked my MPG on a calculator vs. the CPU every time I have filled up since I picked up my MC on Dec 5. It has always been dead on. Just remember to reset the CPU when you fill up.
FYI: When I bought my MINI, my dealer said that he has just drove back from Dayton, OH (about a 3 hour drive one way) and throughout the whole trip he got 37 MPG. It was mostly Hwy. He was driving his MCS at the time.

I usually get in around the low to mid 30's on the highway. Depending on how fast I want to get there, how high I set the cruise, wind resistance and all that jazz. Of course it'll improve once the car has been broken in fairly good.
Jayoung man, that picture is a little much on a hangover recovery day.
